I love them. Specially when you don`t realize that is CGI.

Modeling

Since when I had my first contact with 3D in 2001 while I was still studying architecture in college, I knew that was going to be my profession. As a graduate architect, the most logical way was to work with my two passions. Hence I created a career based on creating images and films for architectural visualization, but I lacked more knowledge, more challenges, and in 2008 I took my first classes of character modeling, and at that time I acquired a particular affection for modeling and texturing. From then on, I’ve been breaking my archviz routine with the creation of packshot illustrations and some images for advertising. Although, I rest my mind modeling more complex things and these are some exemples of what I have been doing in the past few years.

These are just sporadic studies made to get out of the rut, but it would be awesome to be able to work with every day.

New Learning

It’s been a while since I haven’t studied that much, and this year has been good for me in that area. From the moment I promised to take a new course, I knew it would be quite a journey and I am applying myself to make the most of this moment. This model represents that. It is my second model done in Maya and the first time I use Substance Painter, and I am very happy with this experience, because it is always good upgrade our knowledge and learn new stuff.

Uncle Fester

This is a special model for me. It is the very first finished character model I did. Now I can see a lot of things that could be better, but I still like it. Moreover it was on the top row of some cgi sites, it is a good felling have our work recognized.

Another model

I always liked horror movies. When I saw this challenge from Zbrush Central, I knew I had to participate. The challenge was about creating a bust from a movie that you like, so I came with this idea of doing  Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde together i one body, almost like they are transforming.
